Since 2002, CHETHANA is a Program of “BIRDS” a Voluntary organization in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. CHETHANA’s regular programs in three states are supported by PHP-USA. Since 2015, Food Resource Bank (FRB) is supporting few developmental activities in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

  • Gram Vikas Samstha (GVS) 

Gram Vikas Samstha is a Non-Governmental Development Organization, registered as a society in 1980. GVS is involved in the Chowdepalli ,Panjani, Punganur, Peddamandyam, Tamballapalle, Madanapalli and Ramasamudram mandals of Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. GVS deals with socio-–economic deprivation in society and addresses the issues of food security and livelihood rights of rural communities. This group Joined CHETHANA net-work in 2014

  • Bharathi Integrated Rural Development Society (BIRDS)

BIRDS is a non-governmental organization that addresses issues of hunger, untouchability, migration, land rights, rights of women and children, sustainable agriculture and groundwater depletion. Major constituencies are dalits, tribals, and smallholder/landless farmers. Promotion of farmers’ water and climate school, ground water management, organic agricultural practices, formal school and health services are the major programs of BIRDS.  BIRDS joined Chethana in 1997. Since 2003, BIRDS has served as financial custodian for Chethana.

  • Social Awareness to Build Active Leader Ability (SABALA)

SABALA addresses the socio-economic concerns related to gender justice and human rights of Dalit women, youth and children in 26 villages. They deal with Dalit land rights, small farmer’s empowerment through organic agricultural practices, empowerment of women through alternative economic initiatives and child welfare. SABALA joined Chethana in 2001.

  • Development Initiatives for people’s action ( DIPA)

DIPA empowers women and farmers, develops models of collective leadership among women and youth, and implements and integrates government welfare programs for the development of the farmers. This group is associating with CHETHANA net-work since 2011 onwards.
